NEWS: Calendar, Portal, Character Sheets, Gallery

Calendar added for easier management of raid dates and events. Right next to it is the portal, which always shows the latest topics and posts.

In your profile you can now find a link called 'Character Sheet', but there will be nothing in it... Yet. It's a roleplaying thing, thought it would be fun to have, since we play on an RP server Please help me with some suggestions for fields to add, like character name and other RP info. If you would like to use the character sheet in an RP subforum, please let me know, I'll add one as soon as I can then. It's just for fun anyway, so don't take your mains name, race, class and so on to fill in, you can be whatever you want, maybe en elephant with super powers?

Also, you can now post pictures in here, since we now have a forum gallery. Post your screens in there, or whatever you want, but... Your pictures needs to be approved by an admin to be shown, so don't post every kinda crap you have please =) We don't have endless space for the piccies you post, so if I see some of them good enough for the main gallery on our site, I will take them out and put them in there instead.

I disabled the chat at the bottom of the forum, who needs that anyway?

Sen, just click on the lil calendar sheet with the '1' on it, and then add title and event. I didn't set any rights to the calendar, so I think everyone should be able to use if. If not, then tell me o.o

Nope. Been there, tried this and that. No joy. Perhaps you have to set permissions.

By the way - I must say it is a brilliant site. These little minor niggles I keep having are just that, minor. Please do not take them to be criticisms of your excellent work here.

I can't seem to find the calendar rights anywhere, not in the calendar itself, nor in the moderator rights... If there is nothing to do about it, I'll just make the ones who will use the calendar admins. That would be Zhilena when she registers :/

And I sure don't take your suggestions as criticism, I'm open for all new ideas, and I'm happy that you give me work to do

Ok edit... There is absolutely nothing I can du about the calendar rights. It really annoys me, cus I wanted to at least let the moderators write in there, like you. I tried to promote Forumbot (meh new dummy) to moderator, and even to administrator, but nothing works, the calendar will only let me write in it... I will look around for a stand alone calendar, but stuff like that is very hard to find. Until then, or if nothing works, people who want events written in the calendar are more than welcome to write me a PM, I'll then add the event right away.

according to Free Forum forum the answer to the question "How do I enable Members to be able to add calendar items?" is ...

You need to go to admin panel=>Forum=>Permissions=>Forum permissions control click on a topic and make sure you have this option "Create an event (calendar)" selected for members.

... although I would advise use some discretion on who can add calendar items. We don't want everyone's dental appointments and birthdays in there too!

I already looked in the help forum, and of course I found the same post as you, but it doesn't work a bit. The "Create an event (calendar)" just doesn't exist anywhere, and I've been all over the admin panel, just ask Longear, he had to hear for it all night ._.'
I found 2 stand alone calendars though, I'll try them out and link them here instead of the forum calendar. Then it's easier to put on the site too...

Aw Sen, you know I am glad to have you as a helping hand here, and maybe I could have forgotten to look there, or maybe looked at other posts ^^'
I will find a calendar for us, the one or the other way, it's just a question about... When? XD
