Suggestions

Great forum.

Some suggestions.

1) Have an instances section which should include (initially)
a) Instance grouping guide
b) Vortex of Might loot rules
c) general tactics
d) specific encounter tactics

2) Class guide seems to be unwieldy. Consider collapsing it to
a) Tanks
b) Healers
c) DPS

3) Consider a PvP area - I dont PvP but many of VoM do

4) Raiding

I would contribute an article on general raiding tips; how to prepare; what other resources are out there; some of my experiences etc

5) Consider a useful addons/macros sections where people can contribute there own views on such stuff

The above are only suggestions. The forum as set up now is really great.

The setup right now was just with some overall normal topics that everyone could use, as a start I thought.

Maybe I should really add the Tank/Healer/DPS thing, but then it would be better to make sub-categories in the main category. Like make subs for Healers in the Druid and Paladin sections, I doubt a rogue would need it...

I must admit, I really forgot all about the PvP forums as I was making the sections *drop* My bad, I'll add them right away o.o

If anyone wants to write some guides for the loot roll in VoM, I would be more than happy to put it up on the page instead of here, or maybe let it be shown in both places. Everything that has to do with raiding can be posted in [url=here]https://vortex.darkbb.com/raids-f2/[/url], and if its useful to all of VoM, I'll put it up on the page, then we know where it is, and will not loose it.

Addons and Macros sounds wonderful, will make these subforums right away ^^

By the way, my thoughts with the tank/healer/dps forums is that they are not class specific. If you have a healer forum under the druid one, for example, priest healers wont see it. There are many hybrid classes; not all priests heal; not all druids tank; etc - hence specic forums for those roles.

I do like the idea of sub-forums if that can be implemeted - it makes the main index page less cluttered.

Hm, I could add thr Tank/DPS/Healer subforums in addition to the class subforums. But it really is stupid, that the fourm is getting longer and longer, that's one of the reasons I didn't want a free one, but maybe I just overlooked some option to make them invisible until you click the main forum o.o
Erhm, I'll have a look at the advanced features later, right now I'm using the simple one, maybe there's something nifty in there.

Do not feel bad. The forum is great. The site is great. It really is. As I said elsewhere, it even supports wow hover tags (though allakhazam is still down at the time of writing). The main issue now is getting people to use it.
